As a teen, she was very into music. However she could never figure out why, when going to concerts she would be so caught up watching the "production" side of the concert. "I found myself watching the "Crew", all of the signals throughout the show and before I knew it the performance was over and I had missed it. Once I started working in production, I understood why. Building the show is much more fun. Even now, I can't really sit and "watch" a show.
She worked with her husband Lee at "Seriously Sound" and founded True with him in 2005. The True name came to mean their true calling or really standing for something in business. It is through the "joy of the freedom to create," she said "that motivates me each day."
